Lleiroso Crianza 2019, Gold Medal at Challenge International du Vin

LLEIROSO CRIANZA MEDALLA DE ORO CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL DU VIN

This Ribera del Duero wine, made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, has been awarded the highest distinction at the emblematic French wine competition.

Lleiroso Crianza 2019, of Bodegas Lleiroso, from the Appellation of Origin Ribera del Duero, has been awarded a Gold Medal at the recent edition of France’s oldest wine competition, Challenge International du Vin. It is a new recognition to this wine that already has been awarded other prices at many international competitions in previous years, such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Decanter World Wine Awards or Mundus Vini.

Challenge International du Vin has crowned the world’s best wines in 2023, bringing together the world’s leading wine producers in Bordeaux, France, to celebrate excellence in winemaking.

This year, the competition was more exciting than ever, with more than 5,000 wines competing from 38 different countries. The judges have evaluated each of them according to their taste, aroma, texture and appearance, selecting the best wines in each category.

This award represents a great success for Bodegas Lleiroso, a winery with a history of more than twenty years in the production of quality wines and located in the heart of the Golden Mile, in Valbuena de Duero, a few metres from the river that nourishes its vineyards and next to the Monastery of Santa María de Valbuena. History, art and wine culture brought together in one place. This Gold at Challenge International du Vin is a recognition to the passion and dedication of the winery’s winemaking team for producing exceptional and unique wines.
