Once again, Lleiroso Crianza has achieved an outstanding result at an international competition, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2023, where it was awarded the Great Gold Medal. This result places Lleiroso Crianza in the Top 20 Spanish wines of the Contest, adding this recognition to the previously achieved gold medals at Mundus Vini and Challenge International du Vin.
“We are very proud of all the medals awarded to our wines and especially of the Gran Medalla de Oro granted to Lleiroso Crianza 2019, which places it among the 20 most important Spanish wines in the competition,” says Fernando Zaratiegui, Managing Director of BORNOS Bodegas & Viñedos.
More than 7,500 wines from almost 50 countries from all over the world took part in this 30th edition, held in the Croatian city of Pores. In this select list of winners (less than 30% of the samples submitted to the competition obtain a medal), the 73 international wines being awarded with the highest prize (Grand Gold Medal) were particularly outstanding, including 20 wines made in Spain (27% of the total).
The Spanish participants have obtained fantastic results at one of the most important events, where both consumers purchasing decision and wine professionals from all over the world count. In fact, Spanish wines won a total of 378 medals, including the 20 grand gold medals mentioned above, 163 gold medals and 195 silver medals.
