LLEIROSO RESERVA ESPECIAL SERGIO HERNÁNDEZ 2014
Lleiroso’s Reserva comes from comparatively low-lying (for Ribera) vineyards of 80 years’ old in Valbuena de Duero. Barrel-aged for 48 months, it’s a smooth, nicely mature Tinto Fino from the cooler 2014 vintage, with leafy, tobacco leaf and fresh leather aromas, fine-boned tannins, subtle oak and a core of sweet red fruits. 2021-25
LLEIROSO RESERVA 2015
Part of a very well-made range from this up-and-coming Valbuena de Duero bodega, this is a Ribera del Duero for people who like their reds with a little bottle and barrel age and some balsamic sweetness. Perfumed and savoury, it displays well-integrated French oak, some tannic grip and good palate length. 2021-24
LLEIROSO CRIANZA 2017
A Crianza that over-delivers on the palate, this varietal Tinto Fino hails from clay and limestone soils at 780 metres in Valbuena de Duero. Fresh, youthful and sensitively oaked with lots of vibrant raspberry and red cherry fruit, smooth tannins and appealing focus and balance. 2021-24
